Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking an Operations Manager I for the Savannah, GA area. You will supervise day-to-day production activities in an aircraft manufacturing operation, ensuring FAA regulatory compliance, safety, and lean initiatives.

You will lead a team, coordinate with engineering, finance and other departments, and focus on training, cost control, and continuous improvement to meet production goals and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, Aviation Maintenance or related curriculum.
• 2 years technically related aviation maintenance or supervisory experience.
• Ability to plan, schedule and supervise day-to-day operations and meet FAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assigns production responsibilities, work plans and schedule requirements to department leads and coordinators to ensure that all jobs are completed in a manner satisfying FAA regulations.
• Ensures the department has adequate resources and implements policies and procedures.
• Maintains a safe work environment and leads 6S, safety procedures and incident investigations.
• Promotes continuous improvement and leads Lean Six Sigma initiatives.
• Coordinates with engineering, finance, materials, quality and other departments to meet schedules and budgets.
