Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Non-Destruction Inspection Technician II to inspect aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive methods and to perform fluid analysis.

The role includes determining test methods, interpreting results, monitoring exposure during radiographic operations, and maintaining nondestructive equipment while ensuring safety protocols and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be trained and qualified per NAS 410 or ASNT-CP-189 to the level assigned.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience as an aviation inspector.
• Completion of an initial Non-Destructive Inspection Level II training Course and current basic qualification.

Responsibilities

• Determine test method and prepare fluids and parts for nondestructive inspection.
• Interpret nondestructive inspection test results and provide information about defects to repair center.
• Analyze wear metal content reports on engine lubricating oil and other fluids and recommend corrective action.
• Establish radiation areas for radiographic operations.
• Compute and monitor personal exposure areas for radiographic operations and monitor personnel exposure data.
