Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Non-Destruction Inspection Technician (NDI) II to inspect aerospace components and support equipment using nondestructive methods. You will determine test methods, prepare fluids, interpret results, and report defects to repair centers, while analyzing wear metal content and ensuring radiographic safety.

Strong NAS 410/ASNT-CP-189 Level II credentials and 3+ years’ aviation inspection experience are required.

Qualifications

• NAS 410 or ASNT-CP-189 Level II qualification
• 3+ years’ aviation inspection experience
• Completion of an NDI Level II training course
• Facility credentials/authorization and US citizenship required
• Experience with analysis of wear metal content and oil/fluids

Responsibilities

• Inspect aerospace components and support equipment using NDT methods
• Determine test methods and prepare fluids/parts for inspection
• Interpret NDT results and report defects to repair centers
• Analyze wear metal content reports and recommend corrective action
• Establish and monitor radiographic exposure areas and PPE
• Operate, maintain, and inspect nondestructive equipment
• Ensure lock-out/tag-out procedures before maintenance
• Perform other duties as assigned
