Job summary

SkyQuest Aviation seeks a NAS410-certified nondestructive inspection technician at Randolph Air Force Base to inspect aerospace weapon systems and support equipment for structural integrity using NDT methods. You will interpret test results, establish radiographic areas, and monitor personnel exposure data while maintaining equipment and handling hazardous materials.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds (60 with assistance), and occasional confined-space entry.

Qualifications

• NAS410 Level II or III certification required
• Experience inspecting aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment using nondestructive testing methods
• Ability to interpret NDI test results and communicate defects to repair centers
• Familiar with radiography operations, hazard areas, and dose monitoring

Responsibilities

• Inspect structures, components, and systems for defects such as cracks, delamination, voids, and heat damage using penetrant, eddy current, magnetic particle, radiographic, optical, and ultrasonic methods
• Operate and maintain nondestructive inspection equipment and perform operator maintenance on tools
• Handle hazardous waste and materials according to regulations
• Monitor and document personnel exposure data and radiographic area controls
• Possess color vision and be capable of entering confined spaces when required
