Job summary

Safran Group in North America (Texas) seeks a Project Manager- MRO to plan, execute, and finalize projects per strict deadlines and budget. You will coordinate internal teams and third-party contractors, ensuring quality and compliance with aviation standards and ITAR.

The role requires 5+ years in project management, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Project/Asana/Trello. FAA Part 145 familiarity and Lean/CI experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience, particularly in distribution centers or similar environments.
• Strong understanding of distribution center operations and logistics.
• Proven track record of managing projects within deadlines and budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
• Project management certification preferred.
• ITAR compliance requirement: U.S. person per ITAR.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans that align with company goals and objectives.
• Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring on-time, within-scope, and within-budget delivery.
• Provide Weekly reports on project progress, delays, risks, budget, and actions.
• Oversee MRO transfer-related projects in compliance with aviation standards (FAA Part 145, IATA).
• Implement and utilize project management tools to track progress, costs, and performance.
• Act as primary contact for all project stakeholders including internal teams, airlines, manufacturers, regulatory counterparts, and logistics providers.
• Identify potential project risks, especially aviation-specific risks, and develop contingency plans.
• Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency in aviation distribution centers (inventory, order fulfillment, parts distribution).
• Apply lean methodologies to minimize waste and improve workflow.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.
• Oversee development and implementation of distribution center operations for optimal efficiency.
• Lead sustainability initiatives in aviation distribution centers.
• Foster a collaborative and productive working environment.
