Job summary

VSE in the United States seeks a Process Improvement Engineer to lead initiatives that boost throughput, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction while ensuring FAA/EASA Part 145 and OEM compliance. The role focuses on improving turnaround time, test and repair workflows, and data-driven problem solving across shop operations.

You will map processes, develop standard work, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and technicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or 3 years of related experience.
• 5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accessory repair operations (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical components).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and data.
• Experience with process mapping, workflow optimization, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with FAA/EASA Part 145 regulations and component maintenance practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Bi, or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to improve turnaround time (TAT), throughput, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Analyze non-conformances and perform root cause analysis (RCA).
• Develop and implement corrective actions and monitor long-term impact.
• Create and update work instructions reflecting process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and technicians to optimize processes.
• Support implementation and optimization of MRO systems (ERP, MES, TRAX, AMOS, SAP).
• Track KPIs such as TAT, FPY, test yield, and labor efficiency.
