Job summary

VSE Corporation is seeking a Product Support Engineer to oversee daily assembly, test, and delivery of fuel controls and related components at our aviation facility. You will collaborate with engineers and quality teams to streamline processes, maintain equipment, and ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance across all activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • OR an additional 3 years of engineering experience in lieu of degree.
  • 5 years of engineering experience in the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to operational and production issues with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Improve assembly and test processes to ensure high product quality and FOD/cleanliness.
  • Maintain and calibrate assembly and test equipment.
  • Perform correlation on new test benches and audits to validate existing benches.
  • Develop technician training requirements and standard assembly procedures.
  • Use data for process control and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulations and certification requirements.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed.
  • Coordinate with engineering to disposition nonconforming material.
