Job summary

Albuquerque International Sunport seeks a Mechanic III to perform complex maintenance on engines and equipment, including diesel systems and electronic controls. You will diagnose fuel systems, inspect vehicles, and support a safe, efficient fleet operation.

This safety-sensitive role requires ASE certification and a New Mexico CDL/Class A or B within six months. The position is full-time in Albuquerque, with a $750 hiring incentive and comprehensive City benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus two years of tech training in automotive maintenance.
• Three years of experience in automotive maintenance and repair of various vehicles and equipment.
• ASE certification preferred.
• CDL Class A/B and COP permit required within 6 months from date of hire.
• EVT, AC recovery or brake repair certification/license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and difficult maintenance and repair work of mechanical engines and equipment including internal combustion and diesel systems.
• Diagnose electronic fuel systems and computer-controlled systems and ensure equipment operates within standards.
• Inspect, test, and repair a variety of vehicles and equipment; maintain records and assist in training less experienced staff.
