Job summary

Admiral Beverage is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Albuquerque, NM. You will repair and maintain fleet vehicles and equipment, from heavy to light trucks, cars, forklifts, and vending refrigeration units, in a team-focused, safety-driven environment.

The role requires a two-year technical certificate or equivalent experience, a Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsement or willingness to obtain one, and the ability to meet driver qualifications.

Qualifications

• Two year certificate from college or technical school, four years related experience or combination of education and experience preferred.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Class A CDL with Airbrake endorsement.
• Must meet company driver qualifications, and willing to obtain State Safety Inspection certification.
• Communicate effectively with all members of the organization.
• Must provide own tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and determine corrective action for necessary repair.
• Inspect vehicles for defective equipment.
• Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on all fleet vehicle systems.
• Overhaul gas and/or diesel engines.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices and make adjustments.
• Lubricate moving parts and drives or operates repaired vehicles and equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
• Installs special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to technical manuals or schematic drawings.
• Performs minor maintenance and repair of building and plant equipment including, air-conditioning, plumbing, cable installation and other mechanical related components.
• Wear Company provided uniform and safety devices as appropriate to comply with safety standards and to present a professional image.
• Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.
