Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CBP Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, overhaul, repair, inspection, and servicing on assigned aircraft in an DoD/airworthiness environment, following 14 CFR and applicable manuals.

The role covers daily and turnaround inspections, troubleshooting of aircraft systems, corrosion control, and possible in-flight checks. Travel to duty sites may be required, including domestic and international assignments, with tools provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid FAA Mechanic license with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow manuals, schematics, and FAA directives.
• Experience with both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as required, including potential deployments.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft.
• Perform daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems; perform corrosion control.
• May fly on government aircraft for relocation or test flights.
• Travel to temporary duty sites within and outside the United States as needed.
• Bring own hand tools; customer provides necessary special tools.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations; follow procedures.
