Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified CBP Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspection, and repair on assigned aircraft in accordance with applicable instructions. You will conduct daily/turnaround inspections, troubleshoot systems, and may fly for in-flight checks or relocations as required.

Role requires an FAA A&P certificate, high school diploma, and ability to travel; tools provided by the customer while you supply your own hand tools.

Qualifications

• Must possess an FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
• Experience in repair/maintenance of fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft per 14 CFR and DoD regulations.
• Perform daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and fault isolate aircraft systems, including hydraulics, fuel, and electrical.
• May fly on Government aircraft for relocation or in-flight checks when required.
• May travel to temporary duty sites within and outside the United States.
• Provide own hand tools; customer furnishes necessary special tools and test equipment.
• Support the mission by performing other duties as required; travel as needed.
