Job summary

Air Methods at the Watkins Training Facility is seeking a qualified Aircraft Mechanic to perform inspections, repairs, and inspections of company aircraft and components. You will ensure compliance with FARs, company procedures, and maintenance manuals while maintaining clear documentation and inventory for rapid repairs.

The role requires an FAA A&P license, 2–5 years of related experience, and the ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED plus 2–5 years of related experience or training.
Active/current FAA A&P license is required.
FAR 135 operations experience preferred.
Strong electrical troubleshooting and sheet metal repair skills.
Ability to read and understand 337s, Service Bulletins, and ADs.

Responsibilities

Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft and components per procedures and regulations.
Verifies part numbers/serial numbers match documentation during installation/removal.
Ensures maintenance documentation complies with regulations and manuals.
Participates in continuous improvement within the SMS framework.
Maintains a clean, safe, and professional work area.
Advises Pilot in Command of maintenance issues affecting airworthiness.
Requests parts to maintain inventory for rapid repairs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
