Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a Gulfstream Team Lead for Aircraft Maintenance in East Alton, IL. This full-time, on-site role requires an A&P license and extensive experience in aircraft maintenance and program leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license required.
• Aircraft-specific factory training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license for airline travel and/or valid passport ideal, but not mandatory.
• 10 years’ experience on aircraft maintenance preferred.
• 4+ years on program-specific aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Team management: supervise, mentor, and guide technicians; participate in hiring and performance assessments.
• Program operations: oversee technician work schedules and ensure aircraft deliveries.
• Compliance and safety: enforce FAA regulations and safety protocols.
• Quality assurance: conduct audits and ensure adherence to QA guidelines.
• Training and development: coordinate and conduct training programs.
• Process improvement: identify and implement workflow improvements.
• Resource management: oversee tools, equipment, and hangar spaces.
• Reporting and documentation: maintain work orders, forms, and records.
• Communicate effectively in English.
