Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. in Millville, NJ is seeking a Team Lead Aircraft Maintenance to supervise a skilled team and drive project flow on site.

The role requires deep knowledge of aircraft systems and hands-on troubleshooting across hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical areas, with daily customer contact and multiple project leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience, a valid A&P license, and a proven track record in supervising maintenance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and an A&P license are required.
• 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
• 4+ years on program specific aircraft with leadership exposure.

Responsibilities

• Team Management: supervise and mentor technicians, foster teamwork and performance coaching.
• Program Operations: oversee schedules, meet aircraft deliveries, manage manpower and parts.
• Compliance and Safety: ensure regulations and safety protocols are followed.
• Quality Assurance: conduct audits to meet quality guidelines.
• Training and Development: coordinate training to build skills and proficiency.
• Process Improvement: identify bottlenecks and improve workflows.
• Resource Management: maintain tools, equipment and hangar spaces.
• Reporting and Documentation: keep work orders, FAA paperwork and billing records up to date.
• Communication: maintain clear English communication with customers and team.
