Job summary

Contour Airlines in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Manager of Maintenance Control to oversee 24/7 maintenance operations and ensure safe, compliant aircraft handling. You will lead a team of maintenance controllers, coordinate with dispatch, and administer MEL/CDL procedures in accordance with manuals.

The ideal candidate has a valid Aircraft Mechanic’s Certificate (Airframe & Powerplant), at least 5 years in returning aircraft to service, and supervisory experience in the same aircraft category.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Mechanic’s Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in maintaining the same category/class of aircraft.
• Detailed knowledge of FAR Part 121 and related maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with Quantum, FOS and CAMP software is a strong plus.
• Fluent English; Spanish considered a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and compliance are the first considerations in aircraft operations.
• Monitors maintenance performance of all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft operations.
• Reports on essential information as to the status of operation aircraft.
• Coordinate with Flight Followers/Dispatch on maintenance irregularities affecting dispatch.
• Administer MEL/CDL/NEF procedures per manuals and company policy.
• Coordinate with regional maintenance managers and technicians to correct issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance data in the information software.
• Ensure proper documentation of SDRs and notifications to the DOM.
• Provide leadership and training to Maintenance Controllers; ensure 24/7 coverage.
• Authorize ferry flights and MEL extensions; perform other duties as assigned.
