Job summary

Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design battery management systems (BMS) for lithium-ion aviation batteries, with emphasis on digital and analog hardware.

You will manage the full product lifecycle from concept through design, testing and certification to field deployment, including cell sensing, protection, balancing and integration with aircraft power systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience designing lithium battery management systems (BMS).
• Experience with analog design and mixed-signal circuits.
• Experience designing cell sensing, protection, balancing, and isolation circuits for lithium battery packs.

Responsibilities

• Design BMS for lithium-ion aviation batteries with emphasis on digital/analog hardware.
• Guide product lifecycle from concept to certification and field deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for deployment and integration with aircraft power systems.
