Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics in Wichita, KS seeks a Field Service Engineer specializing in Aircraft Battery and Electrical Power Systems. You will troubleshoot and support customers, ensuring proper installation, operation, and service of lithium-ion battery and power solutions.

The role requires strong aviation system knowledge, DO-160/254/178 awareness, and FAA/EASA familiarity, with excellent communication and field support skills. Occasional travel up to 15% is required.

Competenze

• Minimum of 5 years of direct aviation experience in a customer support role.
• Extensive knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Experience testing and inspecting avionics and electrical systems.
• Knowledge of aviation certification DO-160/DO-254/DO-178/DO-311a relating to TSOs.
• FAR Part repair station requirements and FAA/EASA rules familiarity.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organized, results-driven.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Comfortable spending most of the day on the phone in an open office.

Mansioni

• Diagnose customer issues and determine actions to reach resolution.
• Serve as primary technical interface for installation, configuration, operation, and management of products.
• Assist in developing technical sales presentations for meetings and trade shows.
• Monitor field data for reliability trends and coordinate root-cause analysis with Quality/Engineering.
• Track and monitor support cases to ensure timely resolution and thorough follow-through.
• Maintain accurate records of all service and support communications.
• Travel up to 15% as needed.
