Job summary

VSE Aviation is seeking a Sr. Inside Sales Representative in Augusta, KS, to establish and maintain direct customer contact, drive sales initiatives, and support team growth. You will own customer relationships, coordinate pricing initiatives, and track data to identify opportunities and trends.

You will build sales pipelines, stay aware of industry trends, and deliver excellent after-sales service to retain customers. The role emphasizes expanding business with both existing and new customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 4 years of related experience.
• 4+ years of relevant/technical sales or aviation industry experience.
• Strong communication, time management, and independent work abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; PowerBI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer and prepare communications for quotes, orders, and other customer requests.
• Review and process orders, ensuring all customer requirements are met.
• Responsible for customer experience and KPI’s.
• Follow up on actionable items and tracks requirements to ensure completion through processes.
• Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner to maintain customer loyalty.
• Identify potential customers through networking initiatives, cold-calling, and email communications.
• Research competitors’ products, pricing, and product success to determine customer preferences.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet plans and assist with customer requirements.
• Keep management informed by preparing results, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, monthly and annual territory analyses.
• Provide support and training for less experienced Sales Representatives as needed.
• Support department manager in day-to-day tasks.
• Expand industry knowledge by attending educational workshops and reading professional publications.
