Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Construction Engineer & Inspection team in the Midwest.

The role focuses on overseeing aviation infrastructure projects, coordinating inspection and field operations, and ensuring contract compliance while delivering quality, safety, and schedule adherence. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction or project management, with civil engineering knowledge and strong client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in construction or project management environments.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering practices and means/methods.
• Experience with FAA construction specifications is a plus.
• Proficient with inspection, observation reporting, and quantity tracking.

Responsibilities

• Deliver aviation infrastructure projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, and lighting.
• Oversee construction inspection and QA testing activities.
• Coordinate change orders, RFIs, budgets, schedules, and contract admin.
• Align goals between project managers, engineers, and clients.
• Track contractor performance and maintain progress reports.
• Ensure material/workmanship quality per specs and safety standards.
• Provide on-site leadership and field direction to resolve issues.
• Prepare meeting agendas and document minutes.
• Maintain accurate as-built drawings and project docs.
