Job summary

Woolpert seeks an experienced Construction Manager to join the Aviation Infrastructure team in the Midwest, primarily in Indianapolis, with travel to support airport projects. You will lead inspection, coordination, and client communications across runways, taxiways, and airfield facilities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management and 5+ years in construction/project management, with FAA specs experience a plus. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of construction management or project management experience.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering and land development construction practices.
• FAA construction specifications experience a plus.
• Experience with construction inspection, observation reporting, and quantity tracking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver aviation infrastructure projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, and airfield lighting.
• Oversee construction inspection and QA testing activities.
• Coordinate change orders, RFIs, budgets, schedules, and contract administration.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to align goals.
• Monitor contractor performance; prepare progress reports and maintain docs.
• Ensure safety standards and project quality from site to final draw prints.
• Provide on-site leadership and field direction for issue resolution.
• Prepare meeting agendas and document minutes; ensure as-built drawings accuracy.
