PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a GSE Mechanic Level I to repair and maintain ground support equipment, including tugs, belt loaders and pushbacks.

You will perform advanced maintenance on a wide range of equipment while adhering to safety standards and documenting work performed. Candidates should have 1–2 years of verified experience, own tools, a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment (United States).
• 1–2 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs).
• Airlines are 24/7; must be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Repair and maintain ground service equipment including tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, and trucks.
• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers to be repaired with description of work to be done.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, repair, or modify: engines and transmissions.
• Inspect brakes and braking systems, bumpers and body work, towing hitches and bars.
• Inspect undercarriages, wheels and tires; inspect components like valves and piping.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues per guidelines.
• Remove, test, repair or replace components such as carburetors and ignition points.
• Check and adjust tolerance of valves, bearings, cams, clutches and drive shafts.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and manuals; operate and test ground equipment for performance.
