Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. in Austin, TX seeks a skilled GSE Mechanic Level III to repair and maintain ground support equipment, both motorized and non-motorized used by airlines.

You will perform advanced maintenance, inspect, troubleshoot, and test equipment, while following safety procedures and completing required paperwork. FAA credentials preferred; flexible shifts including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• 6 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices.
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs- as applicable).
• Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain ground support equipment.
• Log equipment numbers and describe repair work.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, repair, overhaul or modify engines, transmissions, electrical, brakes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Inspect undercarriages, wheels, tires, and related components.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and manuals; operate and test ground equipment.
