PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a GSE Mechanic Level II in the Houston area to repair and maintain ground support equipment such as tugs, loaders, and trucks. The role requires advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and safe operation of a wide range of systems.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 3 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access and interpret information on print and electronic devices, including IPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices.
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs as applicable).
• Airlines are 24/7, so shifts including nights, weekends and holidays are required.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers with description of work.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, repair or modify engines and transmissions.
• Inspect electrical, braking, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues per guidelines.
• Test components and systems using appropriate manuals and test equipment.
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance.
• Complete required paperwork and track parts.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and company standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
