Job summary

Piedmont Airlines, based in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Unit Manager for Team Member Services (TMS) in our Ground Handling Department. You will direct office activities, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with company policies and training standards.

The role requires prior office leadership experience, strong MS Office skills, and a track record of team development. Expect standard shifts with possible travel and a comprehensive benefits package including bonuses and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy office environment.
• Proven success as a team leader with ability to preplan.
• Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines.
• Able to defuse conflicts among team members and administer corrective action as necessary.
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Prior experience with internal controls processes for accountable items.

Responsibilities

• Oversee TMS office and station training department.
• Prepare and maintain employment records (hiring, termination, leaves).
• Compile and prepare reports relating to personnel activities.
• Represent organization at workers’ compensation hearings/investigations.
• Maintain work schedules, payroll processing and corrective actions.
• Coach and develop staff; ensure alignment with company goals.
• Impose disciplinary action as required and enforce policies.
• Understand corporate culture and implement daily routines.
