Job summary

Piedmont Airlines is seeking a motivated Customer Service Gate Agent in the Ground Handling Department to assist passengers with boarding, manage passenger boarding systems, and support customers with special needs.

The role requires ability to complete the Gate Agent training, lift up to 70 pounds, and work all shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays. Starting rate is $17.00 hourly and reports to the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of training course.
• Ability to meet company goals and customer expectations in a high energy environment.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask.
• Previous airline experience (preferred).
• Previous employment as a front-line customer service provider (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights.
• Monitor computerized passenger boarding.
• Assist customers with special needs, including arranging for wheelchairs and unaccompanied minors.
• Change customer flight itinerary and seat assignments as required.
• Operate the Jetway.
• Work as a team to provide excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives.
