The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an instructor to teach aviation coursework for CCBC's Applied Associates of Science in Air Traffic Control. The role requires a Bachelor's in Aviation and substantial teaching experience.

The purpose of this class is to teach primarily aviation coursework specific to CCBC’s Applied Associates of Science in Air Traffic Control (ATC), including the Federal Aviation Administration’s Enhanced CTI (Collegiate Training Initiative) ATC program option that substitutes for the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City. Instruction could be in-person, online, and hybrid. Other potential topics include aviation history, safety, flight/instrument/ground training, aviation operations, and aircraft dispatcher, as qualified and necessary.

Bachelor’s Degree required, degree in Aviation strongly preferred. 3 years professional experience in one of the following: FAA Certified Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS); military controller with FAA credentials; International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) air traffic controller; Control Tower Operator (CTO) controller. In addition, at least two (2) years of Certified Professional Controller (CPC) experience, or equivalent, in a control tower. Current FAA employees cannot serve in this role before retirement or resignation.
Additional Aviation certifications a plus. Previous college-level teaching experience preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
