Zusammenfassung

StandardAero, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Specialist to write and oversee technical product descriptions and to use CAD systems for releasing drawings.

You will participate as a team member in a defined phase of a broad engineering assignment, ensuring documentation is prepared for assigned projects and that projects finish within budget and schedule. The role focuses on designing mechanical components with manufacturability in mind, performing calculations, and releasing CAD drawings

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training in an aircraft MRO environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years' experience preparing documentation and overhaul manuals.
• Must have knowledge of Microsoft products required such as Excel and Word.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Experience with aircraft related activity, to include aircraft maintenance and interior standard practice.
• Must be able to handle multiple projects, multiple deadlines and meet aggressive schedules.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Aufgaben

• Participates as a team member in a specific phase of a broad engineering assignment.
• Executes preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
• Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints.
• Participates in defining engineering approaches, and in planning and scheduling work.
• Design mechanical components and assemblies with an emphasis on manufacturability, reliability and maintainability.
• Perform engineering calculations to determine the size and strength of components.
• Prepare, modify and release drawings created in CAD (AutoCAD, Solidworks) to verify fit, form and function of mechanical designs.
• Evaluate materials and parts for use in new designs including communicating with current and new suppliers.
• Operate in a team environment with other functional areas providing input to design solutions and participate in design reviews.
• Determines content of items required in support of costing estimates for proposals.
• Performs other related duties as required.
