Job summary

Parker Aerospace seeks an experienced engineering technical support specialist to join our product development team. You will conduct research, run tests, and create CAD designs while upholding design standards and documentation.

You will collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams, apply lean development methods, and contribute to technical reports and change proposals. Prior industry experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in an engineering or science technical support role.
• Fundamental knowledge of mechanical/electrical or software principles, concepts, and techniques.
• General knowledge of industry products, customers, and related legal/regulatory requirements.
• Fundamental experience using basic engineering design and analysis tools (e.g. CAD programs incl. SolidWorks). Learns and utilizes specialized engineering databases; may require programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating in a team environment performs routine design and supports development of assigned products by applying basic engineering principles.
• Completes defined technical tasks and develops reports documenting technical information requests.
• Conducts routine analysis and/or tests to evaluate product designs and prepares technical documentation.
• Provides technical information for review with product engineering and design review teams.
• Adopts lean product development and standard engineering development techniques.
• Maintains knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.
• Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities.
