Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. seeks a technical and practice area manager for the Aviation Group who coordinates resources and ensures optimal utilization and billable rates. The role acts as a technical design lead and discipline manager for a defined geographic region, reporting to the Aviation Practice Leader.

Responsibilities include leading regional aviation projects, providing SME input, and delivering engineering documents and bids while building strong client and team relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience designing and delivering construction documents for airport projects.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
• Solid technical knowledge on airport projects.
• Strong collaboration with State Aeronautics agencies and FAA.

Responsibilities

• Manages engineering production leadership for a geographic region within the aviation market.
• Serves as subject matter expert for airport design and planning projects.
• Provides technical input on proposals and PM Plans to estimate projects.
• Acts as technical lead for larger or complex airport projects.
• Reviews procedures to ensure compliance with policies and performance measures.
• Delivers engineering documents and bid packages within the region.
• Attends meetings and presents engineering assignments.
• Develops relationships with clients, reports, officials, and contractors.
