Amentum is now hiring qualified Aircraft Machinists for NAS Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA, to support U.S. Navy aviation maintenance operations.

The role involves inspecting, repairing, and replacing aircraft structures, engines, and subsystems, with strict adherence to manuals and safety protocols. Applicants should have a Navy Aviation Machinist Mate AD A School background, be physically capable, and prepared for shift work and outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Navy Aviation Machinist Mate AD “A” School or equivalent.
• Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks.
• Must be physically able to perform all assigned duties.
• Must have a valid Virginia or North Carolina Driver license (if North Carolina resident).

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and troubleshooting on aircraft structures, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls.
• Repair or replace worn or damaged components and perform engine/airframe maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure safety and quality standards.
