Job summary

JE Dunn is hiring a Design Manager 2 to orchestrate aviation project design teams, manage process, schedules, and cost. You will oversee design consultants, coordinate with preconstruction and client teams, and guide the project from early development through completion.

The role emphasizes collaboration, risk management, and delivering compliant, high-quality design solutions for complex aviation facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field (Required).
• 8+ years architecture project management experience on Aviation Projects.
• Cross-functional knowledge of key engineering disciplines (Architectural, Structural, MEP, etc.).
• Valid and unrestricted driver's license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Interprets design-build RFPs, develops work plans, and collaborates with preconstruction and operations.
• Reviews bridging documents to meet technical, code, and design requirements.
• Manages outside design consultants and ensures timely design deliverables.
• Leads design reviews with team and clients to control schedule and quality.
• Supports early phase due diligence and ensures compliance with permitting requirements.
• Provides ongoing design guidance throughout construction lifecycle.
