Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking a Superintendent 2 to plan, manage and execute on complex projects across the United States. You will lead safety initiatives, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with owners, design teams, and authorities to ensure timely, profitable completion.

Role requires 5+ years of construction experience, 3+ years supervision, and familiarity with Lean principles. Travel nationwide and leadership in field operations are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years construction experience and 3+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience with Lean principles is a plus; aviation projects are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and ensures an injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO).
• Develops work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinates project site care, custody, and control.
• Leads meetings: daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Manages/project budgeting using cost reports and PM systems.
• Communicates project information to owners, design team, and authorities.
• Ensures QA/QC and documentation standards are met.
• Supports project closeouts and pre-plans with the team.
• Gains understanding of pursuit processes and project changes.
