Job summary

Leopardo Construction’s aviation group is growing and seeks a Project Manager I to oversee small projects, coordinate preconstruction, budgets and schedules, and manage subcontracting and field execution. You will liaise with clients, A/E firms, and Leopardo teams to deliver on-time, within budget projects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3+ years as a Project Engineer. Travel to national jobsites is expected; base salary targets are $80–$100k with a discretionary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering or architecture related fields, or equivalent training and experience.
• 3+ years experience as a Project Engineer; field experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of market/industry; includes some estimating experience.
• Ability to travel to national jobsites.
• Comfort with scheduling software and reading blueprints; basic project accounting.

Responsibilities

• Support preconstruction efforts; assist with budgets, estimates, bids and revisions.
• Prepare general conditions budgets and integrate into project budget.
• Coordinate permit applications and document submittals.
• Negotiate and write subcontract agreements; ensure proper insurance and master agreements.
• Develop, monitor and maintain a detailed master schedule with critical path.
• Prepare cost estimates; collaborate with Leopardo self-perform groups.
• Manage shop drawings, RFIs and change orders; maintain logs and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate with Superintendent for inspections, quality control and punchlists.
• Review job costs, invoices and pencil draws; assist in pay applications.
