Actalent in San Francisco, CA seeks an Assistant Superintendent to support aviation construction projects, coordinating field activities, subcontractors, safety, and quality control under guidance of Superintendents and Project Managers. This role offers hands-on leadership development on high-profile projects in an employee-owned environment.

This contract-to-hire position emphasizes safety culture, field coordination, and on-site problem solving while growing toward a Superintendent role

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably in field operations or supervision.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing on-site activities.
• Knowledge of OSHA 30 standards and construction safety practices.
• Experience with quality control inspections and field documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day field operations on aviation construction projects.
• Assist with construction scheduling and look-ahead planning to align with milestones.
• Coordinate subcontractors on site and resolve conflicts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Contribute to safety programs and promote a strong safety culture on site.
• Prepare daily reports and project documentation; track progress and issues.
