Job summary

Sargent Aerospace is seeking a Composite Tech I for the 2nd shift, after training on day shift, initially at the Sargent location and then moving to the Kahr location. The role focuses on manufacturing prepreg material for self-lubricating bearings under supervision of senior technicians.

Responsibilities include safety, resin mixing, setting up production machinery, and paperwork. Requires HS diploma, mechanical aptitude, and good teamwork; on-site with full-time hours and standard company

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and accurate measurements.
• Ability to read and decipher specifications, work orders, and MSDS.
• Detail oriented and mechanically inclined.
• Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Able to read, write, communicate orally and analyze data.
• Complete in-house training for equipment operation and methods.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance required.
• Good teamwork and interaction with others.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety is the foundation of daily work through vigilance and accountability.
• Perform mixing of resins, adhesives and coating of fabrics.
• Set up and monitor production machinery per controls and protocols.
• Follow procedures and schedules using safe methods.
• Clean production machinery to control FOD and maintain quality.
• Create and complete necessary production paperwork.
• Operate equipment including forklift, hoist to move materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Maintain total quality assurance.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations.
• Other tasks as directed by supervision.
