Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking a skilled Aircraft Composite Technician to join our Cedar Hill, TX team. You will perform wet layup and prepreg repairs, often in clean rooms, and cure components using autoclave or controlled ovens.

The role requires close attention to measurement, tooling use, and strict safety practices. The position emphasizes teamwork, timely delivery, and adherence to FAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe and Powerplant License is not required, but welcome.

Responsibilities

• Use close tolerance measuring tools (scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges).
• Use hand tools (drill motors, die grinders, rivet guns, fastener tools).
• Align/assemble using jig, templates and fixtures.
• Wear PPE when cutting, grinding, blending and sanding.
• Extensive use of bagging materials for various shapes.
• Bag components for a wide range of shapes and styles.
• Operate a Hot-Bonder type machine for curing.
• Maintain, clean and repair shop facilities and tooling.
• Safely operate curing oven, autoclave, vacuum.
• Use basic computer systems to access electronic training and maintenance data.
• Communicate effectively in English.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
