Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Lexington Park, MD, seeks a machinist/tool and die maker technician for the fabrication shop at the Patuxent Engineering Facility (PEF). The role supports avionics development, prototype, production, test and maintenance activities in Lexington Park.

The candidate will read engineering drawings, interpret CAD models, and setup 3-axis CNC machines; prior CAM experience with Gibbs Inventor CAM is required. Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years machinist experience.
• Experience with Gibbs CAM and Inventor CAM, and the ability to create a program from CAD drawings.
• Experience with 3 axis CNC setup and operation
• Experience with metal finishing techniques and procedures

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of panels, enclosures, and prototype and production parts metalwork.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including schematics, assembly drawings and interpreting digital 3D models and determining material requirements as needed to manufacture and assemble components in accordance requirements and engineering direction.
• Other tasks as directed by management
