The Fabrication Engineering Group at MIT Lincoln Laboratory seeks a talented machinist for high-precision prototype work in Lexington, MA. You will program, set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment in a fast-paced R&D environment focused on national security hardware.

Formación

10+ years of direct experience in subtractive manufacturing with milling or turning.
Experience with CNC programming and operation on milling and/or turning, with ability to expand to both.
Strong ownership of work quality, tolerance adherence, and shop standards.
Experience with manual machining equipment and reading mechanical drawings (GD&T).
Ability to design and fabricate basic fixtures; familiarity with CAM/3D CAD tools.

Responsabilidades

Program, set up, operate, teardown, and maintain CNC machines in a high-precision R&D shop.
Maintain a clean, safe workspace and collaborate with engineers and machinists to meet specs.
Mentor less experienced machinists and contribute to shop efficiency improvements.
Learn new fabrication techniques and expand skills across milling and turning as needed.
