AtkinsRéalis in Nashville, TN is seeking an entry-level Aviation Civil Engineer to join the Airport Engineering Team. You will assist in designing airport pavements, runways, taxiways, and related infrastructure, while preparing drawings and cost estimates.

You will perform grading, drainage, and utility calculations and support technical reports and design documentation. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary group, ensuring FAA compliance and adherence to airport standards,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 0–2 years of related technical experience preferred.
• Experience with FAA guidelines or airport design standards is a plus.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineer to join our Airport Engineering Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Nashville, TN.

Your Role

• Assist with the design of airport pavements, runways, taxiways, and airside/landside infrastructure.
• Perform engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates for airport improvement projects.
• Prepare engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design calculations.
• Support preparation of technical reports, specifications, and basis of design reports.
• Conduct site visits and construction inspections to monitor project progress.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including transportation, structural, electrical, mechanical, architectural, and environmental engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with FAA regulations, airport design standards, and local requirements and assist with FAA grant and airport improvement program documentation.

About You

• EXPERIENCE: 0-2 Years of professional experience in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION: Completion of Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college/university.
• SPECIAL SKILLS: AutoCAD Civil 3D, stormwater and drainage design, geometric design, construction documentation, communication and teamwork .
• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: E.I. or E.I.T. (preferred) or ability to sit and obtain within 6 months

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $75,000 - $85,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
