Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Nashville, TN office. You will assist engineers with designing civil aviation infrastructure, prepare drawings in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and perform basic calculations for grading, drainage, utilities, runways, and site development.

The role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, review of survey data, and helping prepare technical reports and permit documents for projects.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2027.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bluebeam REVU, Microsoft Office, and basic quantity takeoff.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Nashville, TN office.

Your Role
  • Assist engineers with the design and development of civil aviation infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare and revise engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or other design software.

  • Review survey data, maps, and project specifications.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports, permit applications, and construction documents.
  • Research applicable codes, regulations, and design standards.
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
About You
  • EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate'S or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
  • EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
