Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Engineer to join our Aviation Central Team in Houston, TX. This entry-level role involves developing plans and drawings, conducting field observations, researching site conditions and regulatory specs, and preparing cost estimates for airport-related civil projects.

Ideal candidates have a 0–2 year background in a related field, a Civil Engineering degree from ABET-accredited programs, strong computer skills, and experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation.

  • 0–2 years of related technical experience.
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
  • Good computer skills with standard office software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Engineer to join our Aviation Central Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Houston, TX.

Your Role
  • Develop plans and drawings.
  • Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.
  • Research project site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications.
  • Contribute to the development of specifications and permit applications.
  • Prepare preliminary cost estimates.
  • Collaborating alongside experienced engineers to assist in various operations production of engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Perform other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
About You
  • EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years' experience in a related technical field
  • EDUCATION: B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.
  • SPECIAL SKILLS:
    • Must have good computer skills and be able to utilize standard office software.
    • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
  • PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: E.I.T. preferred.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $65,00 - $85,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
