Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Houston, TX is seeking an Aviation Engineer to join our Aviation Central Team. This entry-level role focuses on civil engineering for airport projects including runways, taxiways, and support infrastructure.

You will develop plans, perform field observations, assist with specifications and permit applications, and collaborate with experienced engineers. A BS in Civil Engineering and EIT preferred for this entry-level position.

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited college/university.
  • EIT preferred.
  • Good computer skills and ability to use standard office software.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Engineer to join our Aviation Central Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out of Houston, TX.

Your Role
  • Develop plans and drawings.
  • Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.
  • Research project site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications.
  • Contribute to the development of specifications and permit applications.
  • Prepare preliminary cost estimates.
  • Collaborating alongside experienced engineers to assist in various operations production of engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways, parking lots, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Perform other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
About You
  • EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years’ experience in a related technical field
  • EDUCATION: B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.
  • SPECIAL SKILLS:
    • Must have good computer skills and be able to utilize standard office software.
    • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
  • PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: E.I.T. preferred.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $65,00 - $85,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
