Job summary

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is seeking a Project Manager to oversee day-to-day management of Capital Plan and Agency Major Maintenance projects within its Aviation Department, based at JFK with remote work allowed one day per week.

You will coordinate scope, schedule, and budget across engineering and stakeholders, ensuring successful delivery of complex airport infrastructure initiatives while collaborating with internal departments and external agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture from an accredited college.
• Minimum of three years leading design, construction, and/or project management of infrastructure.
• Knowledge of project scheduling, coordination, and resource management.
• Valid driver’s license.
• SIDA card and airfield driving privileges required.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project scope of work based on a statement of problem, inputs from facility, engineering and stakeholders, or a desired outcome.
• Establish project economics and timeline in conjunction with the appropriate stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Department to retain internal/external resources for design/construction and manage budgets.
• Advance projects through planning, design, construction and closeout with milestones and recovery plans.
• Conduct regular meetings to ensure scope, schedule, and budget are maintained.
• Interact with Port Authority staff and outside agencies to establish agreements.
• Lead in establishing project risk parameters and contingency plans.
• Prepare status reports for supervisors and executives.
