Job summary

Blackhawk Aerospace is seeking a Draft & Design Specialist to develop and maintain engineering models, drawings, and documentation for aviation products and modifications. You will work with engineers and technicians to produce complete drawing packages and ensure accuracy.

The ideal candidate has aviation experience, solid CAD skills, and a track record of delivering precise drawings on time. Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and adherence to drafting standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Aviation experience required.
• Experience creating engineering drawings, models, and documentation.
• Experience with CADD/drafting standards and engineering requirements.
• Ability to work with engineers and technicians to produce complete drawing packages.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project master models.
• Produce engineering drawings from blank sheets using company formats.
• Prepare rough sketches, detail drawings, and drawing packages with CADD systems.
• Develop 3D models and detailed drawings using design software.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to finalize drawing packages.
• Review drawings for accuracy and consistency with engineering requirements.
• Coordinate with Document Control to release drawings and documentation.
