Job summary

Hill International in Austin, TX seeks an experienced BIM Coordinator to oversee digital lifecycle on large aviation infrastructure projects. You will coordinate complex 3D models (BHS, PBB, jetways) across airside/landside domains and manage COBie data for handover into CMMS.

The role requires 3+ years in aviation projects, advanced Revit/Navisworks/AutoCAD Civil 3D skills, ACC/BIM 360 experience, and GIS integration capabilities. Strong data standards and security clearances are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent technical degree.
• Minimum three (3) years of professional experience, with at least 2 years dedicated exclusively to major aviation hubs, airports, or large-scale multi-modal transit projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD Civil 3D (essential for airside/landside infrastructure integration).
• Knowledgeable of working inside Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 environments under strict permissions and folder structures.
• Autodesk Certified Professional (Revit or Navisworks).
• Experience with GIS integration (e.g., Esri ArcGIS) to connect landside spatial data directly to the BIM model environment.
• Knowledge of Dynamo or Python to automate the massive data validations required for thousands of individual airport facility assets.
• Ability to successfully pass comprehensive background screening to obtain airport-specific security badges (e.g., SIDA badge).
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Specialized System Coordination: Integrate and coordinate complex 3D models containing specialized airport elements, including BHS, PBB, jetways, security layouts, and extensive IT/telecom infrastructure.
• Airside & Landside Clash Detection: Run conflict-detection audits using Navisworks Manage across civil grading, airside structures, and heavy terminal MEP systems.
• Asset Data Management (COBie): Manage asset data up to LOD 400/500 with COBie compliance for handover into asset management or CMMS.
• 4D Logistics & Sequencing: Develop 4D sequencing animations with schedulers, ensuring construction phasing does not disrupt live flight operations or passenger flows.
• Airport Authority Compliance: Enforce BIM Standards, FAA guidelines, and local metadata criteria.
• Laser Scan Validation: Oversee ingestion and processing of terrestrial laser scans to validate field conditions against the master model.
