Job summary

Gensler in San Francisco seeks an experienced Project Design Technology Lead to head BIM and digital modeling adoption on a high-profile aviation project.

You will partner with project leadership to establish goals, develop BIM execution plans, and coordinate with external consultants while mentoring design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training in the building industry.
• 5+ years in a BIM/digital design leadership role across all design phases.
• Expert knowledge of Revit Architecture and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Experience leading large-scale projects; Design-Build experience preferred.
• Solid knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Experience with point clouds and as-built model coordination preferred.
• Knowledge of Dynamo preferred.
• Understanding of design apps such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Twinmotion, etc.
• Knowledge in Power BI for data visualization is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation, management and execution of BIM/digital modeling pipeline across all design phases.
• Partner with Regional Design Technology Leaders to monitor model metrics and data.
• Identify and resolve opportunities to optimize model management and performance.
• Develop BIM execution plans aligned with Gensler standards.
• Develop design technology strategies for projects with lean delivery considerations.
• Author and develop design solutions using various tools and workflows.
• Mentor teams and coordinate BIM training and knowledge transfer.
• Engage stakeholders to improve communication and project transparency.
• Develop workflows and tools that add value to projects.
