Job summary

TEKsystems in Holly Ridge, NC is seeking 2 AV Technicians with 1+ year of experience to install racks, cameras, microphones, conferencing equipment and TVs to a central system. Prior hands-on use of Cisco room kits, Extron, Crestron, or Biamp is preferred.

The role is contract and onsite. You will install and test AV equipment, run cabling, and troubleshoot with local clients, ensuring neat, hidden cabling and operation before job completion.

Qualifications

• Must have experience using a punchdown tool, snipes, and knife for punchdowns in communications closets and terminating jacks.
• Strong understanding of low voltage wiring.
• Client-facing, presentable and professional.
• Work with local clients completing AV installation, cabling, and troubleshooting as needed.
• Install and test AV equipment to ensure operation before leaving the jobsite.
• Ensure cabling is neat and hidden from sight.
• Must have own laptop for configurations or for remote login to assist with configurations.

Responsibilities

• The AV Tech will be responsible for making sure all cabling is neat and hidden from site as much as possible.
• The AV Tech is required to have their own personal labtop for configurations or for the corporate office to remote login to assist with configurations.
