Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced AV/VTC Installation Technician to join our field team in Torrance, CA. You will install and configure commercial AV systems, troubleshoot on-site, and collaborate with project teams to deliver high-profile videoconferencing solutions.

You’ll work hands-on installing cabling, reading blueprints, and ensuring safety and professionalism on every site. Strong experience with Crestron/Extron/AMX and major vendors is required, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience installing commercial AV systems.
• Strong experience pulling, terminating, and testing AV cabling.
• Experience working with major AV manufacturers and control systems.
• Knowledge of commercial videoconferencing technologies.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate AV cabling, including copper and fiber connections.
• Install commercial AV systems and control platforms such as Crestron, Extron, and AMX.
• Configure, test, and troubleshoot videoconferencing solutions including Polycom, Cisco, and LifeSize.
• Read and interpret AV engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Rack, mount, and integrate AV equipment in professional environments.
• Ensure job sites remain clean, safe, and organized.
• Collaborate with site leads and team members to complete projects on time.
• Deliver a high level of professionalism and customer service on-site.
