Job summary

Talently in Tempe, AZ, on-site, seeks an experienced AV technician to install, service, test, and program commercial AV systems and related infrastructure. You will work with Extron, Cisco, and similar technologies, installing projectors, displays, and mounting systems on client sites.

You will also fabricate racks, terminate cabling, and load DSP code under supervision, ensuring safety and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical trade completion.
• At least three years installing communications infrastructure (fiber/copper/ coaxial).
• Experience with commercial AV, DSP, and sound systems.
• Knowledge of video technologies and Video over IP.
• Ability to read, organize, terminate, label, and test cabling.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, test, troubleshoot, and program commercial AV systems.
• Install projectors, displays, cameras, speakers, and mounting systems.
• Fabricate racks, backboards, patch panels, fiber enclosures, and related gear.
• Terminate and test copper, coaxial, and fiber cabling per standards.
• Load and test control and DSP code under engineer guidance.
• Use test equipment including multimeters, scopes, and analyzers.
• Support retrofit and new construction projects and client training.
• Maintain daily documentation and site safety; provide leadership when needed.
