Job summary

MSB Consulting Engineers is seeking a professional AV Systems Installation Technician to install and support audio, video, and control systems in corporate, educational, and public environments.

The role involves interpreting schematics, pulling and terminating cables, mounting equipment, and integrating systems with Crestron, Extron, or AMX platforms. Travel to job sites is required, and the candidate should have hands-on installation experience and OSHA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma required.
• 1-3 years of commercial AV installation experience preferred.
• OSHA safety certification preferred.
• CTS or manufacturer certifications (e.g., Extron, Crestron) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install AV equipment including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, video walls and control systems.
• Pull, terminate, and label AV and network cabling (HDMI, CAT6, coax, fiber).
• Mount racks, displays, speakers, and other AV gear per drawings and specs.
• Integrate systems with control platforms (Crestron, Extron, AMX).
• Configure and test AV systems to ensure functionality and resolve issues.
• Document installation progress and as-built changes.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support as needed.
